Pile of Shame is the community for miniature painters. Track every model from grey plastic to fully painted, share your progress and get inspired by thousands of painted miniatures. Here is how to get started:

1. Add models to your pile

Use the search in the top bar or browse the model catalog and add what is sitting on your desk. If you own several of the same model — say five Necron Warriors — set the quantity and they become one unit: one entry that tracks all five models together. Can't find a model? You can create it yourself.

2. Track your progress

Every unit has a status distribution: how many models are still packed, built, primed, in progress or painted. Update the numbers in your pile whenever you make progress — the bars fill up and your pile of shame visibly shrinks.

3. Post updates with photos

Open a unit and post what you did, with photos straight from your phone. You can crop and rotate them right in the browser before posting. Every update lands in the community feed on the start page.

4. Enjoy the community

Give dice 🎲 to updates you love, comment on other painters' progress and join projects — shared painting goals like finishing a whole box together. That is what keeps the motivation up. Happy painting!
