Your camera seems fine. She just has the usual struggle to focus, which is sometimes difficult with detailed minis like these.
Try to put the painting-handle on a bent piece of a4 paper, keep the lights not too close and take the picture from a bit more distance, that helps to bring everything in focus and avoids harsh shadows. Usually the resolution of actual cameras is more then enought to crop a picture taken from a distance.
